the library usually twice a week and it is never as quiet as it is in this place (FOR THREE MONTHS RUNNIN'). There are babies crying and people laughing and freaks surfing for porn over on the machine in the corner and kids running around yelling for their mommy.

This place though . . . it would have made the head librarian where I worked when I was 18 happy as can be.

A shake-up of Britain's libraries has been called for by a senior spin-doctor - including a ban on the word "librarian".

The Westminster council official said libraries should also spice up their reputation by using "good-looking" staff for press and marketing work and by stressing their range of "racy" titles.

The proposals were met with disgust by librarians, who dismissed the idea that they are not glamorous or exciting.

"Librarians come in all shapes and sizes - and that includes the very photogenic," said one library chief, adding that some of his colleagues are "incredibly exciting".

here i am at the library. i realized that i spent a lot of time in libraries these days! thinking there might be other tribers who work at libraries, are students, or are laptopers drawn in by quiet and free wifi i searched for the library tribe.

And while i've been able to find almost anything on tribe, there wasn't yet a tribe dedicated to libraries and those that inhabit them. so here we go!

OK...very perplexed why the Librarian can't be looking for a book, cuz apparently he's looking for an archaeological artifact. Why don't they just call it The Archaeologist? since they're ripping off Raiders of the lost ark anyway.

The way TNT is hyping it reminds me of a skit i saw once called Gonads: The Librarian. Can't remember who does that one.

They were my childhood fetish for a while, that and curly hair and women that actually looked like Nagal prints (ooops just dated myself)...I am surprised that there are only two people in here!?!?
